    The Golden Rules of Cooking Fresh Pasta

    • Keep Pasta Tavola fresh pasta in your fridge or freezer until ready to cook.
    • Bring a LARGE pot of salted water to boil. DO NOT ADD OIL.
    • Add pasta to the boiling water one handful at a time, gently separating the noodles with a fork.
    • For “al dente” (or firm consistency), cook the pasta in boiling water for  approximately 45 sec to 1 min.  For shaped pastas, cook for up to 3 minutes or more depending on taste.
    • Strain.  DO NOT RINSE WITH WATER.
    • Toss immediately in your favourite sauce.
    • If freezing your pasta, cook it from a frozen state. DO NOT DEFROST.

    The Golden Rules of Cooking Fresh Gluten-Free Pasta

    • Keep Pasta Tavola fresh pasta in your fridge or freezer until ready to cook.
    • Bring a LARGE pot of salted water to boil. DO NOT ADD OIL.
    • Add pasta to the boiling water one handful at a time,  separating the noodles with a fork.
    • For “al dente” (or firm consistency), cook pasta in boiling water for approximately 1 minute.
    • Strain pasta and rinse under cold water (if needed), running your fingers through pasta to separate.
    • Toss immediately in your favourite sauce.
    • If freezing your pasta, cook  from a frozen state. DO NOT DEFROST.

    The Golden Rules of Cooking Fresh Lasagne or Cannelloni Trays

    • Thaw at room temperature before baking.
    • Pre-heat oven to 375F -400 F.
    • Remove lid and cover with foil.
    • After approx. 20 mins. pierce the centre with a fork. If the fork is hot to the touch, remove foil and bake uncovered until cheese becomes golden brown (approx.. 5-7 mins).
    • Remove from oven and let stand 5 to 7 mins.
    • If cooking from a frozen state, it is recommended that you thaw at room temperature until soft before baking.  Cooking times will vary depending on oven.

    Suggested baking times: Small- up to 45 mins,. Medium- up to 1 hour; Large – up to 1.5 hours. Baking times may vary depending on oven.

    The Golden Rules of Cooking Fresh Frozen Cannelloni

    • Pasta Tavola Cannelloni can be cooked from frozen or thawed
    • Line your casserole dish with a generous portion of your favourite Pasta Tavola sauce.
    • Arrange Pasta Tavola Cannelloni in a single layer in your dish
    • Top with a generous portion of your favourite Pasta Tavola sauce
    • Add your choice of grated cheese
    • Bake your cannelloni in a 375-400 degree oven, covered for 30 mins to 1 hour.
    • Once the Cannelloni is warm in the centre, allow to brown uncovered.
    • Cooking times may vary depending on your oven.

    The Golden Rules of Cooking Fresh Frozen Ravioli

    • Keep Pasta Tavola fresh ravioli frozen until ready to cook.
    • Bring a LARGE pot of salted water to boil.
    • Cook ravioli for up to 3 minutes.
    • Strain and toss in your favorite sauce.
