Ahhh Spring!

It’s hard to believe that spring is upon us.  Our team at Pasta Tavola has been gearing up for what we hope to be a busy season!

Easter April 2-8:

During Easter week, the Pasta Ladies will once again roll out their homemade baked goods.  Zia’s Panetone Bread will be making a comeback on the menu as well as our various homemade pastries and cookies.  Of course, we will have cannoli.  Did you know that you can now order cannoli any day of the week?  We’ve had many requests to keep our cannoli on the menu, so if you ask for it we will make it to order!

Our hours of operation that week will be:

Tuesday to Thursday (April 3- 5):  10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.

Good Friday (April 6): CLOSED

Saturday (April 7): 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

Easter Monday (April 9): CLOSED

Belleville Farmer’s Market

In May Pasta Tavola will be returning to the Belleville Farmer’s Market.  This year, not only will you be able to purchase our delectable pastas and sauces (because fresh pasta is ALWAYS a great meal option or  bbq side!) but we will also be introducing some new products.  Check out our facebook page or follow us on twitter for details.  We will be putting out some “teasers” over the next few weeks.

What’s New?

Some exciting news.  We have been working on a new gluten-free pasta recipe—one that is not only gluten-free but egg free and lactose free.  Our recipe –which will be produced and packaged in an entirely gluten-free environment—will allow us to make new pasta shapes as well as lasagne noodles.  There is still some tweaking to do, but we are excited about this new development.  More details to follow once the testing is complete!

Since returning from our trip to San Francisco, and since visiting various food trade shows earlier this year, the Pasta Ladies are even more inspired than ever!  Chef Paula has been creating a new spring menu which will be out just in time for our re-appearance at the Belleville Farmer’s Market in May.  Watch for our selection of salads, dips & spreads and other meal ideas.  We will be bringing back our Italian sandwiches for lunch and we will also be making some changes to the shop to make your shopping experience even more enjoyable.

What’s New in 2012?

Pasta Tavola will continue to add more convenient, nutritious meal options to its menu over the next year.  We will also be expanding our gluten-free product offerings to include a variety of gluten-free baked goods. This is an exciting development for us and we will update you as things unroll.

We continue to bring some unique tastes to our ravioli.  One customer told us that our ravioli “are like little pockets of heaven”.  Many of you agree —our homemade stuffed pasta flies out of our doors.

What makes our ravioli so good?  We make them in small batches, without additives or preservatives using only the freshest ingredients.  We incorporate fresh local products whenever possible.  In the up & coming year we will be incorporating artisan cheeses in our ravioli. If you have a favourite cheese that you would like to see incorporated into a little piece of heaven, please let us know!

Our Build your Own Meals and per person Catering options were very popular this Christmas.  We offer complete dinner meal packages for larger business or gatherings.  Watch for some new additions to these options, as well as some “lighter fare” catering items.
